About these terms
These terms apply to this website and the quoting and follow-up service it describes, both provided by GotTheJob (ABN 89 266 942 987) ("we" and "us"). To contact us, use the form on the home page.
This website
Screenshots and examples on this website show demo data for a made-up business and made-up customers. Features described as coming, or as working "when your account is switched on" (such as Xero invoices and card payments), are not available yet and may change.
Signing up for early access does not commit you to anything. It is not an order, and it does not reserve a place for you: we will contact you when one is ready. How we handle your sign-up is set out in our privacy policy.
The service
Your account
You are responsible for your account, for the people you invite to it, and for keeping your login details safe.
Your customers and your messages
You are responsible for the quotes you send, the prices and wording in them, and for having permission to contact the people you send quotes to. GotTheJob is set up to help you follow the Spam Act 2003 (Cth): every email and text it sends for you identifies your business as the sender and includes a way to unsubscribe or opt out. You must not remove these, and you must not use the service to send messages to people who have not asked you for a quote.
Your data
Your customer list, quotes, prices and settings remain your business records. We use them only to provide the service. You can ask us for a copy of them at any time, including when you leave. After you leave, we delete your account data within 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep part of it (such as payment records).
Fees
The founders rate is A$95 a month, for early customers while we're getting started. It is billed month to month, there's no setup fee, and you can cancel any time. Your own dedicated number for texts is included.
We are not registered for GST, so no GST is added to the price while not registered. If that changes, we will tell you before any GST is added.
The plan includes a fair-use allowance of quotes and texts. We will show you the allowance before your account is switched on. Extra packs are available if you need more.
Paying and cancelling
You can start the founders plan on this website. Payments are handled by Stripe, a payment company: you enter your card on Stripe's own secure page, and Stripe charges it each month. We never see or store your card details.
Before you enter your card, Stripe's page shows the price and the date of your first payment. If a free period is offered when you start, that page also shows how long it lasts. Cancel before it ends and you will not be charged.
Stripe emails you a receipt for each payment. Receipts and invoices show GotTheJob and our ABN. We are not registered for GST, so no GST is charged.
After you pay, a person sets up your account and we text you a private link when it is ready. Your plan starts when you pay (or when a free period ends), not when setup is finished.
Cancel any time from your billing page (run by Stripe, linked from your welcome page) or by contacting us. Your plan stops at the end of the month you have paid for, and we will not charge you again. You can also update your card and see past invoices there.
If a payment fails, Stripe tries your card again over the following days and emails you. If it still cannot be paid, your plan may be cancelled.
Cancel any time from your billing page. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for; we don't refund part-months.
Availability
We will work to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or that every message will be delivered, because delivery also depends on email and phone networks outside our control.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Ending the service
The plan is month to month: cancel any time from your billing page, by contacting us using the form on the home page, or by replying to any email from us. Your plan stops at the end of the month you have paid for, and we will not charge you again (see Paying and cancelling).
If we ever need to stop offering the service, or to change these terms in a way that affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
