You did the work. Then the quote went quiet.

You measured up, priced it properly and sent it off. Then nothing. Chasing feels like begging, so most tradies don't. This does it for you, politely and on time, and tells you when to pick up the phone.

How it works

Three steps, and you're already doing the first.

You already write quotes. Keep doing that, and we handle the follow-ups, the tracking and the nudge to call.

  1. Step 1

    Quote (you already do this)

Same as today, just quicker. Pick the job type, your usual items load with your prices, set the measurements and hit send.

  2. Step 2

    We chase for you

A nudge on Day 2 if they haven't opened it, another on Day 5 if they've gone quiet (with a reminder for you to call), and a last call on Day 12.

  3. Step 3

    You close the job

Your customer gets a clean quote page with a big Accept button. No account, no app. If it's not for them, they tell you why in one tap and the reminders stop.

  2. Follow-ups

What's inside

Better quotes, less typing.

The quote does the explaining, the dashboard shows what moved, and every change can be taken back.

Write it up from your notes

Type a few notes about the job and tap Write it up. The scope of works, inclusions, exclusions, materials, method, timeline, warranty and terms fill in, in your trade's standard wording. Every word stays yours to change.

  • Each part under its own heading
  • Standard wording for your trade, edited once in Settings
  • On the customer's page, the PDF, Word and Excel
Demo data The Scope of works panel with demo data: short notes about a roofing job, the Friendly tone picked, a Write it up button, a Check what it wrote hint, and the scope and inclusions filled in and marked Just written.

A dashboard that shows what moved

Open it and the cards come in one after another, the figures count up and every chart draws itself, so the change since you last looked is the first thing you see. If your phone is set to reduce motion, it all just appears.

Paying for leads?

Paying for leads on a lead site or Google?

Then a quote that goes quiet costs you twice: the job you didn't get, and the lead you paid for.

  1. You pay for the lead.

A lead site, a lead service or an ad on Google: you pay up front, before you know if the job is any good.

  2. You price it up.

You ring them back, maybe go out and measure up, then write the quote. That's your time on top of the fee.

  3. Then it goes quiet.

No yes, no no. If nobody chases it, the lead fee is money gone, and so is the time you put into the quote.

Work it out with your own numbers

Quotes you send a month times the share that go quiet times what a lead costs you, over a year. That's what you paid for leads that went nowhere.

GotTheJob chases the quotes that go quiet: polite follow-ups in your own wording until the customer gives you a yes or a no, so the leads you paid for get a proper go.

Your numbers

What a typical job you quote is worth, in Australian dollars.

Quotes that go quiet

Your own estimate. Of the quotes you send, how many never get a yes or a no? The starting figure is only a placeholder, not an industry figure: move it to what you see in your own business.

If follow-up wins back

An assumption you can change. How many of the quiet quotes a follow-up turns into a yes. It starts low on purpose, and nobody can promise you a figure.

What it adds up to Estimate

Quoted work that goes quiet each year

A$172,800

12 quotes a month × 12 months × 40% gone quiet × A$3,000 a job

If follow-up won back 10% of them

A$17,280 a year

An estimate from your own numbers, worked out in this browser. It is the value of the work quoted, not profit, and not a promise of what you would win. Nothing you type is saved or sent.

FAQ

Straight answers.

The questions tradies ask first. Anything else, ask us when early access opens.

Do I need to change how I quote?

Not much. You still set the price and the scope. The template for your trade loads your usual items and prices, so most quotes come down to picking the job type and adjusting the measurements. The follow-ups happen after you hit send.

Do my customers need an account?

No. They get a link by email or text that opens their quote page. They can read it, save it as a PDF, ask a question, or tap Accept. No app, no login.

Does it send text messages?

Yes. Each follow-up can go by email, text or both, to Australian mobile numbers. Your own dedicated number is included, with nothing extra to pay or set up. Every text includes a way to opt out, and the log shows whether a customer opened the link from the text or the email.

What if I make a mistake?

Take it back. Every change in a quote has Undo and Redo, and you can go back to an earlier saved version. A deleted quote waits in the Trash for 30 days, and Restore brings it back with its follow-ups carrying on where they paused. Before a quote goes out, a spell check points out likely typos. Every save in Settings can be undone too.

Who owns my data?

You do. Your customer list, quotes, prices and settings stay your business records, and we use them only to run the service. Download a backup file from Settings whenever you like, or ask us for a copy at any time, including when you leave. After you leave, we delete your account data within 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep part of it.

What is the small “Powered by” line on my quotes?

One small grey line, “Powered by GotTheJob”, at the very bottom of the customer’s quote page, the PDF, the Word and Excel files and the emails, under your own details. It is never in a text and never above your branding. It is on to start with; to switch it off, open Settings, then Quote style, turn off the switch and save.

What does it cost?

Founders rate: A$95 a month, for early customers while we're getting started. That's one plan with everything included (your own dedicated number is included too), and it's the full price, with no GST to add. It's month to month, so you can cancel any time, and there's no setup fee. A fair-use allowance of quotes and texts is included; extra packs are available if you need more.

Can I stop it?

Any time. Skip a message or send it early from the quote's log, mark a quote as replied, or turn any follow-up step off in Settings. Customers can unsubscribe or tap "not for me" whenever they like, and the reminders stop. And if you want to stop using it altogether, the plan is month to month: cancel any time.

Stop chasing. Start closing.
